THE RIAH FOUNDATION
OUR PROJECTS
RIAH services urban communities in a variety of ways. Browse through our programs below and contact us about ways you'd like to get involved.
RIAH Pickleball Program
The RIAH Foundation offers Pickelball as a tool to redirect the thinking of our youths today and help with the concept of T*E*A*M work. Playing Sports Has Been Proven To Help Youth With Coordination, Gain confidence, improve physical, mental, and emotional health & have fun all at once.
CPS Afterschool Programs
We currently participate in 2 CPS schools offering basketball, baseball, chess and tools at Wescott Elementary and Johnson School of Excellence.
School Mentoring
RIAH finds that it's more effective to adjust to the needs of the school, partnering with the faculty, parents, and community to service its students. Being on the same page with all of the adults in place who service the students, minimizes conflicts and garners authentic support that has real meaning to the students we service. Our workshops and "peace circles" redirect thinking and and encourage young people to choose better, life-enhancing alternatives.
RIAH introduces its students to community mentors that help facilitate activities and share their professional areas of expertise.
Road to Recovery
RIAH facilitates a meeting for those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. It meets every Wednesday, and is designed to provide an outlet for participants to confront ills and claim victories.
